3G Smart Terminals.
3G Smart Terminals provide first-time M2M developers and small-scale implementers with a flexible, cost
effective solution to quickly launch enterprise optimization solutions that expand the Internet of Things.
The terminals can be integrated into a wide range of products including kiosk, PoS systems, vending machine
or digital signage allowing operators to upload/download digital content remotely. Due to their rugged
construction and secure connection, the Smart terminals are also very well suited for use in industrial
control, metering, transportation, security and other applications which require remote control and/or
monitoring anywhere where a cellular network is available.
Features include a five-band HSPA+ baseband engine enabling high-speed, secure wireless TCP/IP connectivity
at up to 5.76Mbps anywhere in the world. Gemalto’s next-generation Java™ embedded technology gives you the
flexibility to create applications for the module.
Optional features include embedded component SIM (MIM) and a cloud based Sensor-Logic application enablement
platform that enable out-of-the-box M2M communication reducing integration complexity and Total Cost of
Ownership. Like all Cinterion® products, the
3G Smart Terminals come with full type approval (FTA) and are certified by the largest carriers worldwide.
3G Smart Terminals offer a simple and reliable plug-and-play communication device that allows new M2M
implementers to quickly connect their industrial applications using wireless technology. With very little
integration and approval efforts, they provide a cost effective, swift solution for enterprise optimization

rugged housing, about the size of a credit card, with integrated SIM cardholder and an unprecedented variety
