Binder the globally recognised manufacturer of high-quality circular connectors for industrial applications, has introduced the NCC Subminiature Series 670, a connector solution engineered for environments where space is at a premium without compromising on performance or reliability.
Featuring a robust bayonet locking mechanism, the 670 series is designed to meet the stringent requirements of today's industrial and technical applications. Positioned as the compact counterpart to the well-established Series 770, the 670 series deliver exceptional durability and functionality in confined installation spaces.
Innovative NCC Design for Maximum Protection
The NCC (Not Connected Closed) concept is a hallmark of Binder's engineering excellence. Each connector incorporates spring-loaded plastic covers that shield the female panel-mount contacts, ensuring they remain safely enclosed within the housing. This design provides superior protection against accidental contact, dust ingress, and splash water—even in the unmated state. The panel mount parts are protected against contact, dust, and splash water from all sides to IP54 and with the addition of protective caps to IP67, the male cable mount connectors achieve IP67 in mated and unmated condition.
NCC Technology
Performance and Durability
The Series 670 is built for longevity, guaranteeing over 1,000 mating cycles. Despite its subminiature form factor, the connector accommodates five poles, delivering robust electrical performance while maintaining a compact footprint. The 670 series exhibit high resistance to environmental influences, operating seamlessly across a temperature range of -25 °C to +85 °C.
Enhanced Usability and Identification
To simplify installation and reduce errors, the Series 670 is available in multiple colour-coded variants for bayonet locks and sleeves, enabling quick and accurate connection identification. The connectors combine ease of handling with advanced safety features, offering exceptional resistance to external factors and ensuring consistent performance across diverse applications, particularly where space is at a premium.
A range of protective caps are also available which when used with the panel mount connectors increase ingress protection from IP54 to IP67 in the unmated state.
The 670 series connector are suited to the most demanding applications including Industrial machines, Test & Monitoring equipment, Dataloggers, Metrology, Lighting as well as in Signage and other devices that need to be washable.
Engineered for performance and designed for versatility, the NCC Subminiature Series 670 empowers industries to achieve reliable connectivity in even the most challenging environments.
