Phoenix Contact have expanded their popular SPTAF range of screwless terminal blocks with the addition of a 3.5mm pitch option designated as the SPTAF-1 series.
The addition of the 3.5mm pitch variant complements the existing 5mm pitch series of 45 degree mounting PCB connectors which offer three different lever versions, recessed, raised and locking lever, allowing for convenient and user-friendly handling. The innovative screwless design allows users to quickly connect wires without the need for tools (raised and locking lever type) or using a standard flat blade screwdriver in the case of the recessed lever type. The connectors accept solid or stranded conductors with or without wire end ferules fitted.

Both the 3.5mm and 5mm pitch SPTAF series have a very low profile of only 8mm (recessed lever versions) whilst still allowing reliable connection of 16 AWG size wires. The 45 degree angle wire entry allows convenient connection of the wires.
The SPTAF series are rated for currents up to 16A on the recessed and raised lever versions, locking lever versions are rated to 13.5A. The 3.5mm pitch types have a voltage rating of 160V and the 5mm pitch versions are rated at 320V. The connectors are available in green colour as standard but can also be specified in multi-colour for instances where there is a requirement to clearly mark the function of the termination.
Available in 2 to 16 ways the connectors are suitable for conductors from 0.2mm2 to 1.5mm2. The connectors carry cULus approval and are designed for use in accordance with EN-VDE standards.
