The FH69 series of FFC/FPC connectors from HIROSE, a world-class manufacturer of innovative connector solutions, is the industry’s first two-point contact design suitable for use in extremely compact devices.
The FH69 series flat flexible cable/ flat printed circuit (FFC/FPC) connector are designed to provide high contact reliability and withstand high temperatures. The FH69 series is a compact, 0.5 mm pitch and 2.3 mm height robust FFC/FPC connector; featuring the industry’s first two-point contact design that ensures high contact reliability whilst reducing contact failure due to dust intrusion, shock, and vibration. The top and bottom connection gives greater design flexibility for PCB orientation and eliminates any restrictions by FFC/FPC contact points/trace path direction, this in turn makes the assembly process much easier.
Patented Backflip actuator design
The FH69 series features a backflip actuator design that provides a stable and secure hold on the FFC/FPC cable when bent in an upward or downward direction. This gives the added advantage of preventing any unexpected opening during operation.
In addition to these characteristics, the FH69 series is vibration-resistant and have a wide operating temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C, meaning they can also meet the critical requirements of the automotive sector.
To increase throughput and convenience in the assembly process, HIROSE delivers FH69 series connectors with an open actuator where only a 2-step process is needed for completing the mating operation either manually or with automation/robot. The FH69 has also been designed with a wide mating face for rapid, easy, and precise insertion of the FFC/ FPC. Thanks to its unique no-contacts exposed design, there is no pattern (solder mask) prohibited area on the bottom side of the connector simplifying the PCB design.

The FH69 series is available in 10, 30, 40, 50 and 60 position contacts and 20 position contacts are under development.
