UnitedSiC, a leading manufacturer of silicon carbide (SiC) power semiconductors, has launched an innovative on-line tool which assists developers in selecting the correct FET for their designs.

The tool was developed in response to feedback from engineers who said its sometimes hard to determine the best SiC FET for a design, every manufacturer usually provides selection tables with the various parameters but it would be far simpler if there was an easy-to-use power calculator tool that helped designers do a first pass evaluation for multiple SiC FET options, in a variety of circuit topologies to narrow down the list of available options.
