HIROSE, a world-class manufacturer in connectors, has introduced the HR30 series of miniature waterproof plastic circular connectors; to meet the requirement for outdoor electronic equipment.
The range consists of lightweight and small size plastic plugs, (including overmold type), receptacles, jacks and accessories. Many varieties are available; the 3 and 6 contact versions are in a 12.6 mm diameter shell and the 10 and 12 contact version in a 15.5 mm diameter shell to give design flexibility. Further options include solder bucket, crimp or through-hole contacts.
The innovative connector design incorporates gaskets, seals and a built in strain relief to give IP67 or IP68 rated protection from dust and water penetration.
The user-friendly push-pull locking mechanism securely locks the mated connectors which are confirmed by an audible click. The connectors are simply pushed together and then quickly and easily disconnected by pulling on the plug’s release collar which has grooves to aid with the grip of the connector. Furthermore, visual white arrow alignment indicators and multiple polarizing keys ensure correct alignment and mating engagement. Minimal tooling is required for the simple assembly of the plug.
The HR30 circular connectors are suitable for a wide range of applications including Patient care equipment, Servo motors, Factory automation, Robotics, GPS devices, Measurement & instrumentation, LED lighting and many more.
