HIROSE has introduced the HR43 range to meet with the requirement for connectors with advanced reliability suitable for harsh environments including railway applications.
The HR43 series consists of a cable mounted plug and panel mount jack allowing for an in-line connection, constructed from aluminium alloy the connectors are lightweight yet robust to withstand vibration and shock. The connectors feature a user-friendly bayonet lock system which ensures a secure waterproof connection.
The connectors have a simple assembly procedure allowing the unique waterproof gasket to be sealed and the cable clamped simultaneously by the tightening ring without the need for additional tooling, this reduces the components needed and saves time. Furthermore the unique waterproof gasket surrounds each individual wire to seal it and provide IP67 waterproof protection in the mated condition.
Construction & Assembly
The HR43 series have a current handling capacity of 20A (amps) per contact and an AC voltage rating of 600V, the insulators are PBT resin and are flame retardant to UL94V-0. The connectors have been Salt Spray Tested (Corrosion Resistance) to 500 hours.
The HR43 is optimised for easy field assembly with a standard market commodity hand tool to terminate the crimp contacts. A contact removal tool is also available to quickly remove the contacts from the housing.
