Introducing the CME and CMR Isolated 0.75W Single Output DC/DC converters from Murata

The new CME and CMR families from Murata are cost effective 0.75W rated DC/DC converters, available in industry standard packages with industry standard pinouts both families are available in popular input and output voltages and provide a lower power and cost competitive alternative to traditional industry standard 1W DC/DC converters.

The CME family is available in a choice of SIP or DIP style packages and can be specified with 1kVDC or 3kVDC isolation voltage, input voltage options are 3.3V or 5V with output voltage options of 3.3V, 5V or 12V. Both the SIP and DIP packages use industry standard pinouts which are pin compatible with the Murata LME, MEE1, MEE3, NKE, NME, & NML series. Featuring low ripple and noise of maximum 30mV P-P depending on model selected, the CME family of DC/DC converters have typical efficiency up to 77%.

Data

The CMR family is available in SIP style package and can be specified with 1kVDC or 3kVDC isolation voltage, input voltage options are 5V, 12V and 24V with output voltage options of 5V, ±12V and ±15V. The SIP package uses an industry standard pinout which is pin compatible with the Murata NMR, MER1, MMV, MEV1, NMK, MEV3, NMV series. With a maximum ripple and noise figure of 25mV P-P depending on model selected, the CMR family of DC/DC converters have typical efficiency up to 79%.

The CME and CMR families of cost effective 0.75W rated DC/DC converters are suitable for a wide range of applications including process control, computing equipment, medical devices and distributed power architecture in communication and industrial electronics.

Both the CME and CMR families feature galvanic isolation allowing the devices to be configured to provide an isolated negative rail in systems where only positive rails exist and feature a wide operating temperature range which guarantees start-up from –40°C and full 0.75 watt output at +85°C.
