Honeywell’s line-up of HumidIcon™ Digital Humidity/Temperature Sensors offer customers 5 different families of products with a broad array of accuracy options from ± 1.7 %RH to ± 4.5 %RH making them suitable for use in many applications. The HumidIcon™ Digital Humidity/Temperature Sensor families all have a digital output relative humidity (RH) and temperature sensor integrated into the same package, this combination of a humidity and temperature sensor into one package offers customers the lowest total cost solution.
Featuring low supply voltage down to 2.3 Vdc the sensors can be used in low energy and wireless-compatible applications to enhance energy savings and prolong system battery life. The sensors go into sleep mode when not taking a measurement within the application, consuming only 1 μA of power versus 750 μA in full operation. This makes the sensors suitable for use in battery operated systems where the sleep mode helps maximize battery life, reduces power supply size, and reduces the application’s overall weight.
The HumidIcon™ sensors true, temperature compensated digital I2C or SPI output also helps eliminate problems that can occur from having multiple signal conditioning components in the circuit, as well as simplifying integration to the microprocessor. By eliminating the need for customer implemented, complex signal conditioning this can also reduce costs associated with those additional components (e.g., acquisition, inventory, assembly).
All families are available in package options of SIP 4-Pin or SOIC-8 SMD and can be specified with or with-out hydrophobic filter and a choice of I2C or SPI digital output.
The HumidIcon™ sensors are suitable for a wide range of applications including, HVAC, Air compressors, Weather stations, Industrial machinery, Chemical analysers, Medical Incubators and Respiratory ventilators to name just a small selection.
