Introducing the TSC and NSC range of TruStability® Board Mount Pressure Sensors from Honeywell

Honeywell has announced two new additions to its TruStability® Board Mount Pressure Sensor portfolio, the TSC temperature compensated, unamplified output and the NSC uncompensated, unamplified output series.

The TSC series features temperature compensation allowing simplified system integration by eliminating calibration over temperature and reducing part-to-part variation. With a compensated temperature range of 0°C to 85°C and operating range of -40°C to 85°C the devices have a pressure range from ±60 mbar to ±10 bar, ±6 kPa to ±1 MPa, ±1 psi to ±150 psi allowing them to be used for measuring differential or gauge pressures.

NSC uncompensated series allows customers to perform their own calibration while benefiting from the advantages of TruStability® Pressure Sensors. The series has a wide pressure range starting from an ultra-low ±2.5 mbar up to ±10 bar, ±250 Pa to ±1 MPa, ±1 inH2O to ±150 psi and an operating temperature range from -40 °C to 85 °C [-40 °F to 185 °F]. The NSC series can be used to measure absolute, differential or gage pressures

Application notes Resources

The TSC and NSC TruStability® pressure sensors from Honeywell have a ratio-metric analog output for reading pressure over the specified full scale pressure span and temperature range. Benefiting from Industry-leading long-term stability, even after long-term use and thermal extremes these sensors perform substantially better relative to stability than any other pressure sensor available in the industry today.

With Industry-leading accuracy down to ±0.15%FSS BFSL the TSC and NSC series utilise a modular design with numerous package styles, pressure ports, and options simplifying integration. A single side wet media option allows one port to be used with condensing humidity or directly with non-corrosive liquid media. The sensors are housed in a miniature 10 mm x 10 mm package and have extremely low power consumption, with a supply voltage as low as 1.5Vdc reducing power consumption, extending battery life and promoting energy efficiency.

The TruStability® pressure sensors are suitable for a wide range of potential uses in Medical and Industrial applications.
